Sustainability is a cause that we wholeheartedly support at Trio Media, which is why we partner with organisations like Rainforest Trust UK to be able to create a more sustainable future.
As part of Rainforest Trust’s Conservation Circle, we donate on a monthly basis to help with initiatives that include stopping deforestation, protecting endangered wildlife and preventing climate change.
We’re proud to donate towards the Conservation Action Fund, which is crucial to Rainforest Trust’s most urgent work. It only costs £1.60 to protect an acre of rainforest, benefiting wildlife and the environment.
Through this fund, Rainforest Trust have been able to expand the El Silencio Natural Reserve in Colombia’s Middle Magdalena Valley (MMV), which faces threats from cattle ranching, illegal logging and damaging cocoa production.
The MMV is one of the most biodiverse regions in the world, with 354 bird, 42 amphibian, 723 plant, 6 primate species and many more forms of life calling it home.
Through donations and tireless work, Rainforest Trust and their local partner have managed to secure the conservation of 5407 acres by expanding the El Silencio Natural Reserve. This campaign will go a long way to protecting endangered species like the blue-billed curassow, Magdalena river turtle, variegated spider monkey and lowland tapir.
Vicky Wallace, Fundraising Manager at Rainforest Trust UK, said:
“Regular donors like Trio Media are the backbone of our organisation, allowing us to plan ahead and allocate funds where they are most urgently needed. Many of our projects are time-sensitive and having readily available funds we can draw on can prevent a vital area of rainforest from being lost to development or agriculture.
For example, we might need to finance an urgent land purchase before it’s sold to a logging or mining company or complete a legal process to secure a National Park or Community Reserve within a strict time limit. Thanks to Trio Media, we’re able to secure protection for threatened tropical habitat, benefitting endangered species, indigenous communities and the planet.”
We’ll continue to lend support to Rainforest Trust and their efforts towards stopping climate change and promoting sustainability. Climate change is one of the most important issues that our planet faces and if you’d like to do your part then you can donate to Rainforest Trust UK here.
We’re always looking to help out local charities and organisations who want to make a positive impact on the world. Get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll be happy to discuss partnerships and collaborations.
